On the internet I go by Lazy the Gorilla, and I'm obsessively curious about the world around me. I want to make life better for the people, organizations, and other intelligent life forms I interact with. I'm currently focused on creating small day-to-day practical applications of coding, automation, and AI. I usually write things initially just for myself, then if it seems useful I find someone to sell it to or share it with. I also have a big plant passion, enjoy thinking about the bigger picture, and too many other interests I just don't have time to explore as thoroughly as I'd like.
I am a dedicated generalist. There are pros and cons to this approach, as any other, but it has served me well my entire adult life, and I don't plan on changing any time soon. I typically work several(3-5) years in a field then move on to something else. I have experience in coding, electrical distribution systems at various scales from household to utility, physical security, and building science. For fun I seek dopamine, my primary source of which is learning how things work and how to make/do them. I love watching video lectures from really good professors at good institutions, and I love hands on, sweat on the brow, get out in the shop and build something to see how/if it works experiments.
